The Business Solutions team is responsible for the initiation and development of new retail system solutions. In addition, the role of the Omni Retail Systems Specialist – Business Solutions is to ensure the efficient management of all O2O applications and all store merchandise systems and applications, enabling seamless store operations and compliance with market-specific legal and fiscal requirements.
The Omni Retail Systems Specialist – Business Solutions is responsible for coordinating system development and implementation, providing technical support, and delivering functional training. The position plays a critical role in optimizing store systems and enhancing user satisfaction.
Acting as a key liaison between stores, internal departments, and external partners, the role drives operational excellence and ensures the effective development and delivery of technical solutions across markets.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure the alignment of retail systems with the company's overall strategy
- Research, identify, initiate, and develop new business solutions together with the Product Owner
- Test and deliver successful live launches of new store systems, application releases, and processes, including the development of training and user manuals to contribute to the further development of the company
- Initiate, support, and implement further development for assigned merchandise systems and O2O systems to optimize systems and processes for store users
- Create requirements, test, pilot, and document all system changes to ensure successful implementation, including the development of training and user manuals
- Drive a clear feedback loop for defined stakeholders / market support to gather detailed business and legal requirements and identify opportunities
- Identify critical system features and functionalities and co-drive decision-making for change requests in collaboration with the Product Owner
- Gather and analyze system data to identify and optimize areas for improvement, ensuring system consistency, completeness, and feasibility
- Take responsibility for providing business areas with the necessary support for store systems and processes to ensure system availability
What you bring
- University degree in computer science, business administration, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience in similar roles, preferably within a multinational corporate environment
- Extensive knowledge of merchandise systems and O2O systems in the retail market, combined with a deep understanding of store systems, related processes, and operations
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, paired with excellent analytical skills and solid logical thinking
- Strong awareness of quality standards and user satisfaction, with a proactive mindset and willingness to go the extra mile
- High level of self-motivation, independence, and engagement, with the ability to take ownership and drive results
- Open-minded and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt quickly to new conditions and find the best solutions for the business
- Highly structured and solution-oriented way of working, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Fluent in English and German
