Job Description

Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in Germany we are currently recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Manager (m/f/d) to join our Data Centre team in Düsseldorf.

As a Commissioning Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee t when equipment and systems are installed and tested. You'll work closely with other business functions across projects to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and budget requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and management of Vendor FAT/ FWT with possible attendance if necessary.
• Management of CFCI and OFCI vendors Commissioning Scope
• Lead Daily/ Weekly commissioning meetings, Internally, vendor and Client
• Manage, deliver and obtain approval on relevant project commissioning documents such as Test Scripts, Compliance statements etc.
• Manage the receipt, review and compliance of project commissioning documentation to achieve the necessary sign off
• Single POC for commissioning management and reporting of the planning and execution of scopes and deliverables
• Equipment Installation Oversight
• Supervise the installation of new equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Inspect and verify the correct functioning of electrical, mechanical, and environmental control systems
• Testing and Verification: Conduct tests to ensure operational efficacy
• Verify the integrity and performance of critical systems.
• Approve the finalization of the project based on successful testing
• Participate in safety reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Several years experience in industrial equipment and systems commissioning; preferably within data centres, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale construction projects.
• Experience managing commissioning activities throughout design, construction, commissioning, and project closeout phases.
• Ability to review technical documentation, commissioning plans, method statements, test procedures, and as-built documentation.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook), control systems, and SharePoint
• Familiarity with control systems for critical infrastructures
• Strong analytical, structural, and organizational abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client
• Availability for on-site work
