Are you an empathetic, detail-oriented HR professional who thrives on juggling people and process? As an HR Admin & Payroll Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for trivago talents on HR and payroll matters: from onboarding documents to monthly payroll accuracy. You'll create contracts and HR documents, support work permit and visa processes, maintain accurate data in Workday, and help drive our monthly payroll process. All while partnering closely with HR Business Partners and Workday developers to keep things running smoothly. trivago is a place where ambition and support go hand in hand. How you’ll make an impact:

• Create and issue HR related documents such as working contracts and contract amendments.
• Support new hires during visa and work permit processes, including interaction with German authorities.
• Serve as a contact person for an assigned group of talents on HR-related questions
• Maintain accurate data and personnel files in our HR management system, Workday.
• Prepare monthly payroll and ensure accurate and timely salary processin g as well as Audit controls .
• Support the ongoing optimization of HR administration processes.

What you'll need to thrive:

• Relevant work experience in HR administration and/or payroll preparation, ideally with a solid understanding of German labor law.
• A collaborative and communicative working style - fluent in English, our company language. You keep colleagues informed through clear, timely communication and help build a supportive, well-connected team.
• An appreciation for the rhythm of operational work. You take pride in accuracy, reliability, and consistent follow-through, backed by hands-on experience with HCM tools like Workday and strong attention to detail in Excel.
• A strong learning mindset. You approach challenges with curiosity, genuinely consider fe edback, and continuously look for ways to develop and grow.
• A performance mindset. You set ambitious goals for yourself and have the determination and resilience to follow through and achieve them.
• Curiosity and openness toward AI tools and automation. Our team is actively exploring how AI can support HR and payroll workflows, and you're excited to experiment and grow alongside these evolving technologies.
