Our client, a global leading IT company, is recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join their business in Germany. Position Title: Legal Counsel Position Type Permanent Start Date: ASAP Location: Dusseldorf (onsite), Germany Contact: Minghui Han | +49 (0) 89 23 88 98 34 Qualifications LL.B. or LL.M. degree (having the Bar would be a big asset) A minimum of 2 years of experience in a multinational company or law firm (can be appropriately relaxed). Familiar with handling company legal affairs and procedures. Results and customer oriented and continuous improvement mindset. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Language requirement: English fluent, other EU language is a plus Practical business judgment and ability to qualify actual practical risk. Occasional travel to consult with internal or external customers. Team player, ability work under stress Never give-up mentality Responsibilities Responsible for counseling the business operations in Germany and the UK, by giving pro-active, professional, competent, cost effective and creative legal support. Bring negotiation and drafting skills and business sense to deal with multiple teams of client's West EU region in a rapidly scaling business. Collaborate with clients in the West EU and local (Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, France, etc.) business leaders as well as with supporting areas (Finance, Admin & HR) advising on legal risks, business strategies, compliance, and regulatory issues. You will be required to work independently as well as part of various teams and take on projects in addition to the daily day job.
