Data Warehouse Developer (SQL/ETL)

We are expanding our existing team and looking for a Data Warehouse Developer (SQL/ETL) as a fourth team member to support us in our daily work and challenges within data warehouse management. As a team, we work independently, communicate effectively, and develop sophisticated solutions from requirements gathering to implementation and deployment. We combine technical expertise with a firm understanding of business processes across various functions. This role offers the opportunity to deliver end-to-end data solutions that provide valuable insights and support key business functions.

Our technology stack includes SQL, ETL tools, and Qlik, using SQL Server Management Studio as our current platform. How you will spend your time as our next Data Warehouse Developer:

You will be responsible for organising valid data for key stakeholders, building usable data marts and models, and optimising a scalable enterprise-level data solution with a focus on reliability and performance. You will collaborate closely with three experienced data warehouse developers and five BI developers, increasing business insight and creating value.

• Design, develop, and maintain the data warehouse stack, including databases, tables, and views

• Build and manage ETL processes to integrate data from multiple source systems

• Optimise data models and ETL jobs for scalability and performance

• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure reliability and efficiency

• Collaborate with BI developers and business stakeholders to align solutions with organisational needs

What we expect of you:

• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining data warehouse solutions using SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

• Proven ability to design and build data marts, dimensional models, and ETL workflows

• Experience in enterprise environments with large data volumes and complex integrations; familiarity with platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift is a plus

• Familiarity with AI functionalities and experience with Qlik or other BI tools is a plus

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity for mature judgment in challenging situations

• Ability to work effectively in a complex, collaborative matrix environment with virtual teams across a multi-cultural and geographically diverse setup

• A strong command of spoken and written English is essential; knowledge of German is a plus
