Senior Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager who thrives on winning new business at the very top end of enterprise retail across the DACH region. You'll be responsible for spearheading our European expansion, securing large-scale roll-outs, leading complex multi-million-euro deals, and building trusted relationships with stakeholders from the shop floor to the boardroom.

This is a true greenfield opportunity where you will drive your own pipeline from target accounts rather than relying on inbound leads or an inherited book of business. • 5+ years' enterprise sales experience closing large, complex deals across the DACH region.

• Proven track record of personally acquiring major enterprise customers.

• A true hunter mindset with demonstrable success generating your own pipeline from greenfield target accounts.

• Experience managing long, complex sales cycles and navigating multi-stakeholder buying committees.

• Practical expertise in modern enterprise sales methodologies and mutual close plans.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build compelling ROI cases around operational efficiency, customer/employee experience, and cost reduction.

• Experience selling combined Hardware + SaaS + Services solutions, ideally into Grocery/Supermarkets, Drugstores, Fashion, DIY, or distributed workforce environments.

• Native or near-native German and fluent professional English.

  What you'll do

• Own and deliver quarterly and annual new business sales quotas across the DACH market.

• Prospect, engage, and close high-value enterprise retail opportunities from first conversation to contract.

• Lead complex sales cycles and coordinate multi-stakeholder buying centres from store operations to the C-suite.

• Manage enterprise evaluations, including RFI/RFP processes, on-site proofs-of-concept (PoCs), and pilot programmes.

• Build tailored business cases and financial justification models that demonstrate clear, measurable ROI for enterprise clients.

• Lead contract, Statement of Work (SoW), and commercial negotiations in partnership with Sales Leadership and Legal.

• Create and maintain a robust, accurate pipeline and long-term forecast.

• Deliver compelling, on-brand presentations to senior retail decision-makers.

Salary
Salary range: €85,000-€115,000 pa
