We are looking for an intern to join our team as soon as possible, ideally for at least 6 months. The occupation can also be carried out as part of a master's thesis.

• You take responsibility for refining and validating a measurement method for human hair gloss.

• Together with your colleagues, you design and improve procedures for image acquisition and image analysis to reliably quantify gloss characteristics.

• Additionally, you prepare human hair tresses with a high level of precision to ensure consistent and reproducible measurements.

• You analyse correlations between image-based gloss data, consumer perception, and the chemical/physical properties of applied formulations.

• Finally, you independently plan, perform, and evaluate measurement series using the developed method.

• bachelor's degree in (chemical) engineering, biophysics, physics, biology or (physical) chemistry
• initial experience in imaging, image analysis or related laboratory environments is an advantage
• strong knowledge of imaging and image‑analysis technologies, basic statistics and data analysis, and interest in cosmetic science—especially human hair fibres and their interaction with light
• excellent English and good German skills, as well as confident handling of standard digital tools
• motivated and creative team player with an analytical mindset, precise working style, strong communication skills and the ability to independently document and present scientific work
