Are you looking for a meaningful in-house counsel role where you can deepen your legal expertise? Advise, guide, and support management and key decision-makers by providing clear, practical legal guidance on contract negotiations, risk mitigation, and other critical business matters. Understand the industry and the business impact of your advice while being actively involved across the entire supply and production chain. As Senior Legal Counsel Commercial Law you will make key contributions to Envalior:

• Comprehensively counsel our business units for Intermediates, Performance Materials and Specialty Materials and Procurement
• Advise on a wide range of commercial agreements with a focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating purchasing and sales contracts as well as cooperation agreements
• Support group functions and management in all commercial legal matters
• Provide advice on strategic purchasing and sales projects
• Anticipate and mitigate potential legal risks within the organization and develop strategies to understand and avoid or reduce potential risk
• Keep up to date with actual developments in legislation, regulations and jurisprudence
• Have a challenging role in the Business Units with respect to legal related aspects
• Drive excellency of the Legal, IP & Compliance team within Envalior through standardization and digitization
• Provide trainings on legal aspects to Envalior commercial teams and other functions
• Oversee and steer external legal counsel, where applicable

Requirements

• Fully qualified German and/or Dutch lawyer with excellent academic credentials
• At least 5–7 years’ experience in international law firm or legal department of multinational company
• Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating of purchasing and sales contracts, preferably from manufacturing industry
• Business-fluent English, German and ideally Dutch
• Excellent understanding of commercial issues, ideally in the manufacturing/chemical area
• Ability, interest and willingness to act as business partner to quickly and efficiently find pragmatic and business-oriented solutions and to assume responsibility for the success of the company
• Ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in an understandable way
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Team player with intercultural experience and good service orientation
• Experience in antitrust law and/or data protection law desirable
• Experience in implementing legal tech solutions is a plus
