Head of Metal Packaging Surface Treatment Europe (d/f/m)

What you´ll do

• Promote innovation pipeline closer to customers Ensure performance of innovation projects in alignment with launch plan to meet financial targets
• Lead, build and develop high-performing teams, and manage stakeholders effectively, setting clear priorities
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders and leverage their feedback to optimize processes
• Attend or present technical work at businss meetings and conferences
• Ensure adherence to all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations, standards and policies
• Explore new technology, product, or performance improvement opportunities
• Perform data analysis, draw conclusions, and make experimental recommendations

What makes you a good fit

• Master or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or a related field
• 7-10 years of professional experience in product development, ideally in the chemical industry with a focus on surface treatments and scale-up processes. Leadership experience in R&D teams, as well as projects in Europe or internationally
• Experience in the surface treatment of metals (e.g. corrosion protection, coatings, cleaners), with a particular focus on the metal packaging sector.”
• Knowledge of electrochemistry, polymer chemistry, and analytical methods such as XPS and SEM
• Strong leadership skills in managing innovation pipelines, developing teams, and stakeholder management
• Knowledge in EU-Regulations (e.g. sustainability, recycling, GMP)
• Willingness to travel around 15 - 20%
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is an advantage
