This is your chance to join the C&A team as a Store Concept Design Specialist (w/m/d) in a part‑time (50%) position, limited until the end of this year!

Your responsibilities

• Self‑sufficiently deliver concept design developments based on brief, fitting the concept design and concept execution to achieve state‑of‑the‑art, effective retail concepts relevant for all store modernization projects
• Reflect on relevant trends in the value retail/hospitality industry and adapt where applicable to the briefed C&A store concept features to assure a consumer‑relevant presence at the point of sale
• Deliver design work in collaboration with and support the market implementation team on assigned store projects to maximize site opportunities
• Collaborate with 3rd‑party vendors and CoE‑SC subject matter experts on value engineering to embrace a design‑to‑cost thinking as an integral part of the development process
• Manage the design process for briefed features from design idea to prototype and pilot prior to scaling, in close collaboration with Visual Experience, Selling, Health & Safety, and other CoE‑SC functions to drive conceptual effectiveness
• Actively contribute to best‑practice‑based guidelines with the other CoE‑SC, EHO teams, and market implementation teams to foster end‑to‑end thinking
• Proactively request input from other subject matter experts in the market and EHO on briefed concept features – incl. FM – on operational efficiency and sustainability drivers to assure total cost of ownership, and environmental impact is considered
• Be close to the execution and proactively review the effectiveness of designed solutions in the field to embrace a constant learning culture

What you bring

• Degree in architecture, interior architecture, design, or an equivalent work experience background
• Minimum 2 years of experience in delivering design solutions and projects, ideally in corporate environments – preferably value retailing
• Good experience in implementing branded environments – preferably value retailing
• Openness to constant up‑skilling on new processes, skills, and concepts
• Good ability to manage multiple assigned projects at different stages simultaneously
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams in English. Local and further European languages beneficial
• Strong in creating and delivering design and development solutions for consumer‑facing concepts
• Strong analytical skills with good business acumen
• Good communication skills and priority‑setting capabilities
• Good in giving and receiving fact‑based feedback as part of team discussions
• Open to maneuvering a matrix organization in a result‑oriented way
