In this role, you shape how AI and data-driven solutions transform energy networks across Europe - from strategy to real operational impact. To serve the growing needs of our customers and to drive the energy transition, we standardize, digitize, andautomate our business processes in Energy Networks. The Energy Networks Technology & Innovation team at E.ON SE is working closely with our Distribution Systems Operators (DSOs) and Digital Technology.

• AI-Driven Transformation: You will collaborate with national and international DSOs, business initiatives, and Digital Technology to leverage AI and drive the digital transformation of Energy Networks
• AI Strategy Ownership: You lead the definiton, development, and execution of AI strategy. You take ownership for shaping and scaling AI-driven solutions that measurably improve grid operations
• Leadership & Governance: As a leader of the Expert Team within the Leadership Team of Energy Networks Digital & IT, you will prepareand moderate meetings jointly with the PMO expert and actively contribute strategic insights, proposals, and impulses together with other team members
• Project & Team Leadership: You will support strategic projects and manage cross-functional teams
• Decision & Optimization: Together with the Digital & IT Leadership Team, you will drive decisions related to standardization and optimization
• Expert Representation: You will represent Energy Networks as a subject matter expert in internal and external meetings,presentations, and discussions on Digital & IT

A background that convinces us:

• Professional qualifications: A university degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Professional experience: Relevant professional experience in AI, Data Science, or a related field
• Specific expertise: Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python), machine learning, deep learning (e.g. PyTorch), NLP, and big data technologies and ideally, knowledge of the European energy industry and a passion for using digital technologies to drive efficiency, innovation, and change
• What sets you apart: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and collaborate effectively across departments
• Working method: Strong analytical and conceptual skills to translate complex problems into actionable AI solutions
• Language skills: Business fluency in both German and English to interact effectively within the E.ON Group and with Distribution Systems Operations
