Finance Manager, Germany

Salary: 70,000 to 80,000 Euros

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector, specializing in heavy machinery, near Düsseldorf. This role is perfect for a finance professional with a keen eye for process improvement and a proactive approach to supporting strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine departmental routines, methodologies, and procedures with an emphasis on digitization and process optimization.
• Prepare and oversee budgets and forecasts; monitor financial performance and report on variances.
• Conduct liquidity analyses and manage cash flow effectively.
• Deliver prompt and insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
• Execute ongoing accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
• Oversee internal invoicing and manage tax, duty reporting, and accrual processes.
• Ensure cost efficiency and budget compliance through diligent expense management.
• Reconcile balance sheet items and perform currency valuations.
• Maintain updated fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Handle salary payments and administer payroll activities.
• Prepare year-end financial statements and coordinate with auditors.
• Post inventory values and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Provide administrative support and assist in cross-functional tasks such as trade fair planning, marketing, purchasing, and sales.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on skills and business needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in financial management and accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, processes, and reporting standards.
• Commercial awareness and strategic thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Solid IT and systems knowledge; experience with financial software is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
