Team Lead Business Intelligence (m/f/d)

As the Team Lead Business Intelligence , you will lead and support a team of BI Analysts while actively contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality analytics and Power BI solutions across our B2B marketplace. You turn data into actionable insights by working hands-on with data models, dashboards, and analyzes that directly impact commercial and operational decisions.
Your mission is to ensure the BI team acts as a trusted business partner by combining strong execution with close stakeholder collaboration. You will shape the BI vision, work closely with business and product teams, and ensure our dashboards and insights truly influence how we steer the platform. This role combines people leadership, deep BI expertise, and analytical storytelling à focusing on impact, not just reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of BI Analysts, fostering ownership, collaboration, and strong business impact.
• Act as a trusted BI partner for Sales, Product, Operations, Finance, and Category teams, translating business needs into data-driven solutions.
• Design, deliver, and continuously improve Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights for operational and strategic decisions.
• Contribute to strategic discussions by identifying trends, opportunities, and risks affecting marketplace performance and growth.
• Oversee semantic models, workspace structures, access concepts, and row-level security to ensure scalable and secure reporting. Own Power BI standards across data modeling, DAX, visualization, UX, performance, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering on data integration, modeling, and end-to-end data processes from source to dashboard.
• Drive BI governance and best practices, including naming conventions, documentation, reporting standards, and stakeholder enablement.
• Promote continuous improvement in BI delivery, data storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.

You've got

• 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, including schema modeling, DAX, Power Query, visualization/UX and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of commercial KPIs, marketplace dynamics, and turning data into business outcomes. Experience in ecommerce, wholesale/retail sector is a strong advantage.
• Solid SQL skills and a strong understanding of data architecture and ETL/ELT processes; modern data stacks (eg dbt, ClickHouse).
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams across multiple business domains.
• Structured, analytical working style with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
