Early Years Educator (m/f/d)

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified full-time Early Years Educator to join our dynamic educational institution in Düsseldorf, Germany as soon as possible.

The educator will be expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that captivate childrens’ interest and foster a deep love of learning. This encompasses not only supporting in learning but also developing grace and courtesy skills which will support them as they move through the rest of their schooling.

Tasks

• Planning of lessons and daily routines
• Following the program of instruction set out by ISR, collaborate with colleagues on a daily/ weekly basis
• Integrating a wide variety of activities and instructional approaches (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities, etc.) to motivate and stimulate the learning of each child
• Monitoring the children’s development, strengths and areas for further development
• Managing the Learning Environment
• Designing and setting up the learning environment at the beginning of the academic year
• Guiding the learning of a group of approximately 20 children
• Creating a harmonious and engaging learning environment. Develop positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Take a proactive role in implementing school policies, with a specific focus on safeguarding and promoting equal opportunities for all students.

Requirements

• Have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a teaching degree – primary level
• Experience in schools or academic kindergartens is preferable
• Have excellent levels of spoken and written English
• Passionate about early childhood development and the well-being of children
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills
• Keeps abreast of the latest trends and best practices in Early Childhood Education
• Is appreciative of, and sensitive to different cultures/backgrounds of families and colleagues
• Demonstrates a high level of attention to confidentiality
• Has the ability to use and integrate technology in the learning environment (PC, Interactive Whiteboard, Tablet, Apps etc.)

Our international, English-speaking ISR Kindergarten in Düsseldorf Niederkassel cares for boys and girls starting from age three. Inside our modern building, the children prepare in different age groups for primary school; they spend their days in an enriching environment characterized by cultural diversity, an excellent kindergarten education, as well as loving and individual care and support.

English is taught exclusively by native speakers. Of course, these lessons are supplemented by German lessons, a compulsory component of students’ education that ensures their exposure to a multilingual environment. When combined with early learning of numbers and letters, ISR Kindergarten students are optimally prepared for primary school.
