Our client, a leading global technology company, is recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their business in Duesseldorf Germany. Position Title: Senior Accountant Position Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Location: Düsseldorf, Germany Contact: Jo Tianchang Li | +49 (0)89 23 88 9842 Responsibilities: Take ownership of regular financial reporting and analyses for the headquarters, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Conduct general ledger bookings Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and timely financial statement preparation in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Collect, maintain, and manage customer master data Issue invoices and execute related transaction processes in the ERP system (SAP) Conduct the accounting and posting of incoming payments, monitor open items, and prepare accounts receivable (AR) reports Perform accounts payable (AR) reconciliations and carry out related analyses Review and analyze customer sales rebates and associated fees Review staff travel reimbursements and record them in the system Execute AP tasks such as invoice verification, posting, and preparation of payment runs Drive process improvements and contribute to the optimization of existing workflows Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field 7+ years of professional experience in accounting Strong interest in accounting, reporting and financial processes High proficiency in MS Office; especially MS Excel.
