Senior Finance Expert for Germany & EMEA

Our client, a leading international group with around $30 billion in revenue per year and over 90,000 employees, is looking for a highly skilled Senior level reporting Analyst to join their team working from Germany (hybrid working some time in their Dusseldorf office) to cover their German subsidiaries as well as a number of other operations across the wider EMEA region.

They have an international team who are focused on overseeing a wide range of financial projects for the group both nationally and across some of their other operations in EMEA.

Your role will be varied across a wide range of finance and accounting tasks across a diverse range of operating groups across this major international group.

The purpose of the department is to act as internal consultants to the finance leaders of the company providing support on a number of matters related to financial analysis, controls and post-acquisition reviews.

The main responsibilities of the job will be to focus on coordinating the finance integrations of acquired companies into the group, coordinate Balance Sheet reviews, support and coordinate SAP deployments, support and coordinate tax audits , support ad hoc HGB (German GAAP) to US GAAP finance/accounting support as well as drive centralized revenue recognition processes and leading cross-functional projects on process improvements.

Candidates are likely to have a number of years of audit and or finance experience. Experience working with HGB (German GAAP) is essential, any experience with IFRS and/or US GAAP would be nice to have but not essential.
