Overview

As GumGum’s most senior commercial leader across continental Europe, the Country Manager, EU holds overall accountability for revenue growth, sales execution, and commercial leadership across Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Operating as a member of the Global Revenue leadership team, this executive translates global go-to-market strategies into tailored regional and country plans while leading an EU sales team of approximately 20 employees. The role focuses on establishing a shared operating cadence, maintaining senior relationships across European agencies and holding companies, uniting cross-functional teams through influence, and collaborating closely with UK and international leadership to drive coordinated, scalable growth across the wider EMEA region. The Country Manager, EU will be expected to travel regularly across all of GumGum’s European markets (est. 30 - 40% of the time).

What You’ll Achieve

• Own and exceed approved quarterly and annual EU revenue targets while driving sustainable year-over-year commercial growth.
• Lead, coach, and scale a ~20-person EU sales organization across Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Belgium, actively developing sales directors and managers.
• Translate GumGum’s global go-to-market strategy into distinct country-level sales models, territory designs, and localized positioning.
• Own the regional revenue forecast, managing budget allocation, headcount planning, and performance cadences to ensure early risk visibility to the CRO.
• Partner with the Head of Sales, UK to align on EMEA-wide commercial initiatives, cross-border accounts, and revenue attribution protocols.
• Build and sponsor multi-product joint business plans, commercial partnerships, and trading agreements with top advertisers and agency holding groups.
• Serve as the primary EU commercial spokesperson at industry trade events, media opportunities, and bodies such as IAB Europe.
• Unify regional cross-functional partners (Client Success, Marketing, Operations, Product) to resolve account risks and improve win rates and retention.

Skills You’ll Bring

• Extensive senior commercial leadership experience in digital advertising, ad tech, or media, with a track record managing multi-country revenue targets.
• Proven background managing managers and sales directors across multiple European countries, cultures, and distributed teams.
• Established C-suite and senior network across the European agency holding company, client-direct, and trading desk ecosystems.
• Deep commercial knowledge of European agency models, trading frameworks, ad serving, and programmatic buying (contextual, attention, or brand safety is a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across matrixed, cross-functional teams, ideally within a US-headquartered enterprise.
• Professional fluency in English; proficiency in German, French, or Dutch is strongly preferred.
• Strong strategic and analytical rigor with discipline in pipeline forecasting, quota allocation, and market coverage modeling.
