Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

The Applied Crypto Team of Cyber Security and Privacy Lab is based in Darmstadt. We are developing applied crypto technologies, which are designed for supporting privacy and data protection. To support our research activities, we are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated students. The candidate will contribute to the research and development of applied crypto technologies for data security and has the opportunity to work on real world problems as well as improving the data security of our future products and services.

Intern / Working Student / Master thesis in: Privacy Enhancing Technologies and Data Security (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Analyze data security risks of target application scenarios
• Implement the proof of concept of solution design
• Improve the data security engineering process as well as data security by design concept

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a Bachelor or Master Student in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
• Good programming skills in Java/C/C++/R/Python/Rust
• Excellent ability to work in a team and communication skills
• Proactive and self-motivating character as well as the willingness to take initiatives and to be responsible for your project
• Fluent in written and spoken English
