This position works under close supervision and mentoring by a manager, regional specialist, and Senior Engineers within the territory. Tasks are performed independently as competencies are developed.This position reports to the Senior District Field Service Manager and is part of the Field Service Organization and will be working remotely to cover the Duesseldorf, Cologne area. We will therefore welcome and give special consideration to the applications of severely disabled persons.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Perform preventative maintenance and triage repair on selected productsIndependently perform installation/repair callsLearn and develop knowledge of SCIEX products and technical skills necessary to perform high-quality maintenance and triage repair on instrumentsThe essential requirements of the job include:Completed technical vocational training, ideally with further training as a state-certified technician, or a degree in electrical engineering, medical technology, chemistry or physicsExperience in operating and maintaining scientific instruments in a laboratory or healthcare setting within a chemistry, biology or life science settingFluency in German & EnglishTravel & Physical/Environment Requirements:Ability to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to travel for multiple days at a time for Customer visits and/or training, Drivers License is requiredIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Field service activitiesMass spectrometry, chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, or similar technology or basic knowledgeMS Office, i.e. Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPointSCIEX, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
