Director, Labor & Employee Relations
Danaher seeks a Senior Labor & Employee Relations Manager to lead labor and employee relations strategy across Diagnostics Operating Companies in DACH and Benelux regions. The role advises senior leaders on complex labor matters, manages workforce transformations, and builds scalable HR capability across multiple legal entities.
Responsibilities
- Shape labor and employee relations strategy for assigned Diagnostics Operating Companies across DACH and Benelux
- Lead complex and high-risk employee relations matters including investigations, performance issues, and terminations
- Develop and execute negotiation strategy with works councils, trade unions, and employee representative bodies
- Provide senior leadership for workforce reductions, restructurings, TUPE transfers, and major organizational transformations
- Build scalable capability across the Diagnostics Platform through governance, policies, toolkits, and standard work
Requirements
- German law degree, J.D., HR master's degree, or equivalent education and experience
- 12+ years progressive experience in labor relations, employee relations, or employment law
- Expertise in German employment law, collective labor relations, and co-determination requirements
- Experience leading complex employee relations cases and major organizational change initiatives
- Demonstrated ability developing negotiation strategy with works councils and trade unions
- Experience building governance, standard work, and organizational capability in labor relations
