Your responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of a portfolio of Renewable Energy projects and business segment, providing financial steering, performance management and transparency throughout the project lifecycle – from development and investment decisions through construction and operations
• Act as a trusted finance business partner and independent sparring partner to the Renewables business, providing constructive challenge and financial guidance on business cases and underlying assumptions
• Lead and support financial modelling and valuation activities for investment and portfolio decisions, including the assessment of key assumptions, risks, sensitivities and value drivers within the Financial Decision process
• Manage and steer core controlling processes, including quarterly reporting, forecasting, mid-/long-term planning (MTP/LTP), and consolidation activities for P&L and Balance Sheet
• Execute and further develop project controlling for projects under development and construction, including budget management, Actuals vs. Budget analysis, commitments and Estimate at Completion (EAC), and provide early insights into financial risks and cost deviations
• Drive the continuous improvement and further development of controlling, reporting and financial steering processes, tools and methodologies

Your profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a comparable field
• Several years of relevant professional experience in Business Controlling, Financial Controlling, Investment Controlling, Project Controlling or a comparable finance-related role
• Strong analytical and structured mindset, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights, recommendations and decision support
• Proven ability to take ownership, work independently and drive complex topics forward in a cross-functional and international environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to constructively challenge stakeholders and communicate complex financial topics in a clear and pragmatic way
• Strong experience in financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis, ideally related to renewables, energy, infrastructure or other project-based businesses
• Strong understanding of core controlling processes, including reporting, forecasting, budgeting and mid-/long-term planning
• Experience in project controlling, financial steering or investment controlling of complex projects is a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of relevant finance and reporting tools, ideally including SAP, Excel and Tagetik or comparable consolidation and planning systems
• Growth mindset with openness to new technologies and a willingness to continuously develop relevant skills and capabilities
• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
