Internship LLM Patent Intelligence

What you´ll do

• Design and develop a concept for Large Language Models (LLMs)-generated reports based on patent data tailored to diverse business functions, such as R&D, sales and marketing
• Evaluate and benchmark various large language models to identify the best fit for specific use cases
• Apply and refine prompt engineering techniques to enhance output quality, relevance and reliability
• Create a best practices guide to support internal teams in leveraging LLMs effectively and responsibly

What makes you a good fit

• Student who has successfully passed the first semesters in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, data science, artificial intelligence or a STEM field
• Previous exposure to and experience with intellectual property (IP) topics, particularly patents, is obligatory
• Fluent English language skills, German language is a plus
• Solid understanding of AI and machine learning, particularly LLMs (e.g., familiarity with tools like ChatGPT and similar LLMs)
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy and technical relevance
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to summarize technical information clearly and concisely
• Availability for a full-time internship at our headquarters in Düsseldorf, starting July 2026 for a duration of six months, ideally

We offer you an attractive salary between € 1050-2270. The exact amount of the remuneration depends on the desired duration, the type of internship (voluntary or mandatory) and existing degrees.
