Job Description

Providing excellent business processes as a service, the Operational Tax Team in Berlin and Düsseldorf is supporting its customers in operational tax matters. With Avaloq’s state-of-the-art banking software and smart reliable processes, the Tax Team aims to provide efficient value add services in a constantly changing tax environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, planning, and executing daily activities related to tax reportings in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) agreed with clients.

• Providing various German tax services, e.g., tax statements production, TaxBox and/or Church tax activities
• Regulatory reporting to various regulatory or tax bodies in Germany
• Supporting the team improving the functionalities of Avaloq’s core banking platform and the related processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks
• Collaboration in projects to implement legal requirements and as part of the introduction of new technical functionalities
• Test execution of regressions and extensions of the corresponding subject areas
• Target-orientated communication with customers and internal interface partners

Qualifications

• Degree in economics with a focus on taxes or training as a bank clerk or comparable training
• Experience in the back office of a bank and in dealing with tax-related banking issues
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Analytical mindset and confident handling of MS Office
• Resilience and the ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced, and complex environment
• Structured and careful way of working, paired with a quick grasp of the situation
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken

It would be a real bonus if you have: 

• Experience in cross-operational processes, e.g., Income, Securities or Corporate Actions
• Practical user knowledge of the Avaloq core banking system
• Know-how about process optimization methods
