You will be responsible for the full solution lifecycle—from architecture and data modeling to delivery and support—while managing and developing high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams. A customer-centric mindset, strong collaboration with product and data teams, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation are critical to success in this role.
Your responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and mentor one or more cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

• Drive the design and implementation of scalable data models, business rules, validation logic, and data quality standards in collaboration with architects, stewards, and governance teams.
• Champion engineering best practices across the team, including code quality, testing, observability, and documentation.
• Oversee the implementation of a third party Master Data Management platform and of the related integration tools.
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to align engineering execution with business goals and roadmap priorities.
• Define and track KPIs for team performance and platform health, proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC, change control, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and trends, and evaluate their applicability within the MDM and data ecosystem.
• Present insights, risks, and progress updates to executive leadership as needed.
• Actively contribute to hiring, onboarding, and professional development of engineering talent.
What you bring
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical/business field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in data or software engineering roles, including 5+ years in engineering leadership.
• Proven track record in delivering and managing MDM solutions or other components of a Data Platform in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Stibo STEP, Informatica), data modeling, data quality, and data governance are a strong plus.
• Solid experience with SQL, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), Kafka and cloud services like AWS Glue, Data Factory, Databricks etc.
• Experience leading engineering teams in Agile/DevOps environments, using CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Strong technical and functional understanding of canonical models, microservices, and distributed data architectures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to create a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and technical excellence.
